Canine Lodge Accommodation

At Old Flatts Farm we aim to tailor our service around each individual in our care. We have purposefully restricted the number of lodges in our new-build barn conversion, to enable us to provide bespoke personalised care. By keeping the number of residents small we can cater for all needs, diets and routines.

Accommodation & Comfort

  • Private, spacious lodges

  • Individual thermostatic regulated heating in each lodge

  • Optional TV or radio (often playing calming music) upon request

  • Climate control building designed for sound control

Feeding & Nutrition

  • We encourage that your dog remains on the diet that they are accustomed to, a change of environment can be a source of stress for some dogs as can a change in diet. To lessen any stress factors, we encourage all owners to bring to food that the dog enjoys currently. Alternatively, the diet can be replicated by us at an additional cost to cover to food only.

  • Premium dog food can be provided (or tailored to your dog’s diet) upon prior agreement, an additional cost will be required to cover the cost of purchase.

  • Feeding to routine and dietary requirements as directed by individual clients, this aims to lessen stress and to keep your dog in a familiar routine. This will aid transition both whilst in our care and when returning home to you.

  • Treats and chews (often all-natural) can be given with prior consent.

Exercise & Enrichment

  • Multiple daily walks on private hay meadows.

  • Secure outdoor play in our liberty area under supervision which will encourage your animal to choose to play and enrichment at will.

  • Individual or group playtime can be available with prior consent.

  • Enrichment activities like:

    • Scent trails

    • Puzzle feeders

    • Ball games or agility

  • 1-on-1 contact time with staff (cuddles, brushing, or training)

Grooming & Hygiene

  • Daily cleaning and disinfecting of lodges

  • Fresh bedding, bowls, and water always available

  • Grooming as required by individual dog according to breed

  • Optional: (additional cost)

    • Grooming services (external onsite provider).

Communication & Updates

  • Daily photo

  • Detailed handover reports​
